BraAgas is a predominantly female band devoted to traditional music from across Europe.
Their repertoire includes Sephardic songs, music from Scandinavia and the Balkans, and in recent years also traditional songs from the Czech Republic, especially from Moravia.
The band has been playing together since January 2007 and has built a colourful touring history, performing at festivals such as the Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo, EBU Folk Music Festival, Sur Jahan in India, TFF Rudolstadt, Rock for People, or Colours of Ostrava.
BraAgas have released six albums. Two of them – Tapas and Yallah! – received the Czech Music Academy Award “Anděl” in the World Music category. Their album O ptácích a rybách reached No. 3 in the WMCE chart in June 2018.
In 2025, the band released a new EP titled Dožínky, created in cooperation with SoundCzech and IDU.
